Emily Fox has been given the chance to illustrate her first series for children called Fox Investigates written by Adam Frost. The first title A Brush With Danger has just been published by Stripes and sees the hero investigator, Wily Fox solving crimes with his trusted companion Albert, a small mole with glasses. The art director of Stripes asked Emily to come up with some samples of the two main characters in Fox Investigates, so she set to work with her blue pencils, exploring how he should dress and what he should look like. He ended up as a very debonair Private Investigator Fox zipping through Paris on a flying Vespa with Albert holding on behind him. They solve the crime of the priceless painting in this book, travelling through Moscow and meeting a cast of other animals good and bad. You can see more of the these on Emily’s newly updated portfolio.

Emily has completed work on book two of Fox Investigates and we hope this series will be a great success with young readers.
