Neal Layton wins School Library Association Award

We’re very proud to announce that Neal Layton’s book, The Story of Stars has won the SLA Information Book Award for the under 7’s category. The judges said..

“A superb simple and straightforward book which informs through being totally entertaining: with working pop-ups, humour and an imaginative progression it is a totally engaging delight.”

Neal Layton’s interest in life, the universe and everything has led to an amazing amount of research plus a fantastic collaboration with paper engineer, Richard Ferguson to create a unique child friendly view of the Stars, if you look up at the stars at night you might wonder “what are they? Where are they?” Neal poses and answers these big questions in 10 amazing pop-up spreads. This book is the third in the series published by Hodder Children’s Books.

The Awards were held at the Bath Kids Literature Festival.
