Aleksei Bitskoff
A compulsive doodler from an early age, Aleksei left his childhood home in Estonia to travel. After an inspirational trip to Nepal where he discovered Buddist meditation techniques, he decided then to study Illustration in the UK where he honed his skills at London College of Communication and went on to Camberwell College of Arts to complete a MA.
The fine lines and incredibly detailed character designs of his imagination continue to fill Aleksei's sketchbooks and he is equally happy working digitally on his Wacom Cintiq to keep up with the demands of his numerous publishing deadlines.
Aleksei has created many children’s fiction covers and hilarious interior black and white illustrations for publishers in the UK and USA including new look treatments for the best-selling Louis Sachar Wayside School series. He illustrates the best-selling Little Badman series by Humza Arshad and Henry White and has created concept designs for an interactive play space at Discover Children's Story Centre in London.
Alekesi lives in Surrey with his wife and two children.
