Chris Garbutt

Chris Garbutt graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1998 with a First Class BA Honours degree in Graphic Arts and Illustration. Soon after completing his degree, Chris left West Yorkshire to peddle his wares in London, Paris and the USA. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his girlfriend.

Chris' illustrations are mainly produced digitally but usually begin life as silly doodles on post-it notes. Chris has worked with a variety of clients including Disney, BT, Nestle, Oddbins, BBC, M&S, Sainsbury's, Scholastic and Vodaphone. Projects have ranged from the redesign of the Silent Night logo for kids' beds, to creating the iconic cover designs for Macmillan's popular Jane Blonde series.

Chris also works in the animation industry enjoying various roles from writing, directing and art directing, to storyboarding and character design; projects include RobotboyMr Bean and Gorillaz.
