The dedicated and passionate Arena team pride themselves on providing an expert and friendly boutique service, supplying beautiful and eye-catching content in a variety of distinctive styles to clients across all genres from children's publishing to sci-fi and fantasy, concept art and character design.
Our Manifesto is to provide the highest quality images by talented individual artists with excellent skills in their field.
Founded in 1968 by John Spencer, then established as 'Young Artists' with the guidence of Alison Eldred and Valerie Paine and evolving into Arena in the early 1990’s when the artists were no longer young. Arena Illustration has been steered by directors Tamlyn Francis and Caroline Thomson since 2001, with the invaluable help of our man in New York Alan Lynch.
The artist retains the copyright in their own artwork, our job is to negotiate a licence for the use of their illustrations, which suits both client and creator, this is a bespoke service and one which is defined on a case by case basis. Arena lllustration is not a charity and our artists are professionals, it is not in their best interests, or the health of the industry, to accept a job with no fee.
