Anna Chernyshova
A former student on the prestigious Cambridge School of Art’s MA, Anna has quickly become a go-to artist for commercial picture books with mass appeal but she is equally at home drawing for early reader fiction books. Her talent for creating delightful character designs has also made her work popular with packaging and design clients worldwide. Anna’s loose illustration style, confident strokes and vibrant colour palette have been heavily influenced by the work of illustrators from the 1950’s.
Anna continues to enjoy experimenting with a variety of mixed media and textures that she combines digitally for her professional work. As a keen sketcher, Anna can often be found in the places surrounding her Cambridge home in search of nature and wildlife with her trusty sketchbook. Her mischievous young daughter and the family dog inspire her daily and are often the source of her own developing story ideas.
Anna’s already prodigious list of children's books include Catch That Egg, Santa Selfie, a series of Laugh Out Loud Joke books and Calm Down, Cooper!
