Emily Fox
Emily Fox graduated from Falmouth with a first class degree in illustration. Predominantly working digitally, she also enjoys employing traditional techniques including collage.
Emily is inspired by the people she meets and the world around her. Her artistic influences have come from the animations she grew up watching, especially the colourful work of Disney artist, Mary Blair. Her charming illustrations for Laura James’ Fabio, The World’s Greatest Flamingo Detective has turned into a popular series of fiction books for young readers.
Emily is particularly interested in character design and creating environments. She loves experimenting with colour and spends hours drawing in her sketchbook with her favourite blue pencil crayon. She enjoys reading funny stories but when it comes to her children's book collection, she has been known to largely look at the pictures. She relishes exploring the great outdoors and is fascinated by animals of all sizes with a soft spot for cats.
As an experienced playworker Emily is well versed in running fun, creative, storytelling workshops for children of all ages. Emily can be found on Instagram and Twitter where you can see an abundance of cute creatures and her latest projects.
