Molecule Mayhem, illustrated by our very talented Thomas Flintham and written by Tom Adams, has won this year’s 2013 ALCS Award for Educational Writing. This is an outstanding example of a non-fiction pop-up chemistry book that inspires young readers aged 5-11 years and seeks to engage them in the strange nature of matter. The judges said:
“A fun and engaging book, which introduces and explains often complex chemical concepts in an inventive and interactive manner, bringing them out of the lab and into everyday life. The flaps and pop ups are well used and each spread presents a multitude of facts clearly and concisely, and with a fun “do try this at home” experiment on every page”.
Molecule Mayhem is part of Templar Publishing’s Super Science pop-up series, which includes Feel The Force.
