David Williams has been a practicing illustrator since completing his Postgraduate Illustration course at Central Saint Martins in 1992. He lives with his musician partner and (Doctor Who fanatical) son, in the shadow of Alexandra Palace.
Equally as confident working with a wide variety of traditional media as well as digital processes, David’s work is concerned with balancing bold abstract mark making with a representational narrative. With a beautiful sense of colour and ability to create atmosphere, David’s style attracts conceptual commissions.
He has an international client list and works in a variety of areas, including; music packaging, book publishing, promotional design and has regular editorial illustration commissions.
David has also worked as a lecturer for 16 years and currently contributes to the Illustration BA at the University of Brighton and MA Communication Design course at Central Saint Martins.
