We all love a good bedtime story and Snoozefest is a funny and endearing tale about sloths, music festivals and cuddles – what more could you want? Written by Samantha Berger, Snoozefest, (Dial) is Kristyna Litten‘s first U.S picture book and she has created some wonderful characterisation to suit the author’s charming cast of characters.
Snuggleford Cuddlebun is a sloth and a champion sleeper but there’s only one thing that can disrupt her rest – she cannot miss her yearly trip to Snoozefest, a music festival held at Nuzzledome, where the best sleepers go to snore their way through the “naptacular” show.
“All the best sleepers in Snoozeville are there, like wildcats and wombats and Koala bears. And brown bats and squirrels and giant armadillos, all of them holding their blankets and pillows”.
Published in the US on 22nd January, Snoozefest is already receiving great reviews and was one of the Editor’s picks for January on Amazon.com’s Best Book of the Month – Ages 3-5.
“Whoever said “you snooze, you lose” never went to SnoozeFEST”.
