Overall, there are ten scenes of life from long ago – from Stone Age farmers to jousting knights and Egyptian pharaohs to plundering pirates. A few of the mistakes may seem pretty obvious, others are a little harder to find, but you have the help of two young history detectives on every page who will give you a few hints along the way.
This large format book is great to pour over, Frances has illustrated each diorama with precision as well as humour. Every scene has it’s own unique and sophisticated colour palette for a fully immersive, entertaining and educational read for children and adults alike.
