Alex T. Smith was asked to illustrate this lovely text by Richard Adams, who was best known for his famous book about rabbits, Watership Down. The Adventures of Eggbox Dragon was written for his daughter and is his only picture book for small children, sadly he died before the book was published but he was very happy with the early sketches and would have been thrilled with the final book. This delightful picture book would make a fantastic Christmas present and I’m sure will inspire lots of new egg box dragon pets.
