Illustrator Aleksei Bitskoff and author Jenny Pearson team up with Barrington Stoke once again for another fun-filled adventure in Marvin and the Book of Magic.

Marvellous Marvin braves the stage to showcase the magic that can be found in true friendship in this funny and heartfelt tale from bestselling author Jenny Pearson. From the eye-catching cover design to his delightfully humorous illustrations throughout, Aleksei delivers a top hat load of magic and fun to perfectly match Jenny's hilarious story. With its dyslexia-friendly text this book should become a firm favourite with newly emerging readers.

Marvin's favourite person, Grandad Jim, was a magician and he told Marvin that he had the family gift for magic which made him feel very special. And so he practiced magic every day and his grandad gave him tips and encouragement. Until Grandad Jim died and then...

"My name is Marvellous Marvin. You might have heard of me from the show TV's Most Talented Kids. Well, from the bloopers if you didn't catch it live - they had 4.2 million views when I last looked. Yup, I'm that kid - the one who went on TV to perform magic tricks and ended up destroying the entire set!"

After being humiliated by a badly behaved squirrel on national television, Marvin has vowed NEVER to perform magic in public again and decides to sell his magic stuff to Clive's Emporium. But instead of selling his box of tricks for thirty quid, Clive convinces him to exchange it for a mysterious Book of Magic that promises to show those with the gift of magic how to use it properly. His best friend Asha persuades him to make a comeback in the school talent show.

Watch Marvellous Marvin take to the stage to demonstrate the magic that can be found in true friendship!
