It’s time to hop through the enchanted cat flap once again with the second instalment of Adam Stower's Murray and Bun series in Murray and Bun! Murray the Knight

Based on the original Murray his real-life cat, Adam has created a winning formula with these beautiful, fully illustrated fiction stories for readers from 5-8. His impeccable talent for expressive character design and contagious sense of humour is truly a magical combination, sure to be a huge hit with avid and newly emerging readers alike.

Murray and Bun (a former iced bun who has been magically transformed into a real bunny) live with a slightly chaotic wizard called Fumblethumb, which inevitably leads to infinite madcap adventures. During this next saga Murray and Bun head out through the cat flap only to find themselves in a medieval land of knights. The dynamic duo has been tasked with a VERY important mission, defeating Sir Nasty in a jousting competition with only a whisk and a carrot to protect Murray and rescue Princess Rubytoes, who has her own views on who she would like to spend time with. As you can imagine this is quite an enormous task for a small cat and an even smaller bunny.

"I am having so much fun making these books. I love telling stories with words and pictures and I hope that these will be enjoyed by everyone, especially newly-emerging independent readers. This time the reluctant adventurer Murray and his best friend, the perpetually optimistic and excitable Bun, travel through the magic cat flap to a time of chivalry and derring do. Murray must defeat the dreaded knight Sir Nasty in a joust to secure the happiness of Princess Rubytoes. I expect it will all work out OK. After all, jousting mostly involves trampolining, raspberry cupcakes and funny hats, doesn’t it? Read Murray the Knight to find out."
