Spy Glasses at the ready, Adam Stower illustrates a brand-new murder mystery by David Walliams.
It’s time to dig out your deer stalker hats and get ready for a new murder mystery adventure by dynamic duo, David Walliams and Adam Stower. Super Sleuth, publishing this month is sure to get you hooked from the very first chapter. So let’s investigate . . .
Dilly loved a good murder. Not a REAL murder. A made-up murder. One you would find in a murder mystery novel. Sherlock Holmes was her favourite detective, so much so that she had named her dog Watson after his faithful companion.
Dilly had trained her Watson to sniff out clues and follow scent trails. Something he would happily do for a dog biscuit. Or two. So far, Dilly and Watson hadn’t had much luck cracking cases – beyond lost cats, or missing biscuits that turned out to have been eaten all along. But now the detective duo found themselves on a luxury ocean liner bound for London. A thousand passengers. A thousand nautical miles of ocean around them. It was the perfect place for a murder…
Or two. Or three. Or four. Or MORE!
Adam’s cast of bonkers characters and some beautifully designed feature spreads adorn every page of this fabulously fun middle-grade adventure.
Adam told us,
"Super Sleuth has been a joy to illustrate. It is packed with thrills, laughs, 1920s glamour and a whole host of hilarious characters. It is a wonderful mix of drama and comedy and I have tried to reflect that in the illustrations.I love murder mysteries. Super Sleuth is so inventive and once again there are some illustration firsts for me in this book - a giant blancmange and a flying nun to name but two. Brilliant!"
David Walliams said:
“Since I was a boy I have loved murder mysteries. Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes have always been my favourites. This is my very first detective story, with plenty of humour. I am excited for my readers to turn detective themselves. Can they work out who the murderer is before the end SUPER SLEUTH? No cheating by flicking to the back of the book though.”
